You can actually get a cam setup that can take shots of high quality for much cheaper than I paid. A few examples: [link] [link] [link] All were taken with what was at the time about a $700 setup...much cheaper these days. You can find great gear (cropped, possibly full frame Canon bodies and lenses) for cheap if you buy used as well. I just sold a 50D and a Tokina 11-16 for pretty cheap to my sister for like $1200.00 for both
