I'd love to come up with something that makes sense but I can only drool over this... :retarded-drool:  I'll clean that up... :cleaning:

Oh, no need! I have robots for that :3 Drool away. Also, this is one of my oldest photos that is also a personal favorite. It was on my first DSLR and when I was just starting, but I like it because you can see the budding talent and I have fond memories of the time.

Cleaning robots?!?! I need those for my house so I have more time to write! :la: (read; clean up the mess that I ignore because I prefer to write)

It really is a stunning capture, so much energy is showing here... *goosebumps*

I was just telling someone how excited I was for spring to come! Looks like we're gonna have temps to -1 most of the next seven days. Wont melt anything of course but -1 is BALMY. Everything about the spring! The gradients in the sky, the star fields, the way the warm air smells, the way the sun begins to ride the northeast horizon, breakup like you said..I put up with the winter for our treat of spring and summer haha. And pelicans! I must've taken a thousand pictures of them but I still get emotional when they appear :D

omfg makes me wet.

i can tell its 1 raw, from the massive loss of detail where the sun is lol, just a huge splodge of white.

but who gives a fuck? the colour in the reflection is great, it balances out the dark on either side.

the foreground rocks hold excellent detail with the snow and create a great depth of field.

the rest of the image is exposed well and if you cut it in hald verticly you would think it was to totaly different places.

Yeah it'd have been hard to do a real hdr (5+ exposures woulda been needed to get the entire range) on a tripod without a head after soaking my leg and caking myself and my camera with mud...some of the ice I was on wasn't quite stable lol...ugh spent a couple hours cleaning my cam afterward. But it was worth it

I know right every day I check the mail, it's cause I live in the north everything takes forever to get here. It'll be so worth the wait though.
