Sometimes, everything in one moment feels just right. Another from one of my past trips to Lake Grosbeak...I am going to go there in the winter at least once!

And dear god don't ask about the aperture...-.-

It's funny you say that, this place is actually nicknamed "The Moon"

Conifer treelines are just... particularly beautiful. Deciduous/broadleaf trees are alright, but there's just something about the aesthetics of a conifer. Also the smell.

Lovely photo!

I think that too...Deciduous have a special place for me because they are somewhat fleeting and less common where I live but after 10+ years in this place I really notice it when I can't smell the jack pine. I love the way they stand, perfect vertical orientation Very...Austere, as if they were perfectly sure of the direction they wanted to go in. Much appreciated friend!

I absolutely adore that rich orange color in the top left pf the sunset. "Slightly blurry" or not, this is gorgeous.

Thank you for noticing that! I got lost in it for a while myself after preparing the print file.

It's about the aperture?? f/4?

It seems without noticing I shot this image at f/4, when I would normally at least shoot at f/11 or higher for a shot like this. So the closest edge of the foreground is slightly out of focus...I am forgetful sometimes LOL

I'm that way all the time! I know all the rules and principles behind photography and I even understand the technical aspects of both film and digital, but all that leaves the moment I put the camera in my hand. Been that way since birth, can't do a thing about it!
